Following the article in the Evening Press (January 2), it will be interesting to see whether on January 27, city magistrates consider that the 33 people charged with the unsociable behaviour of urinating in the street have committed a more heinous crime than the 37 cyclists appearing on the same day charged with the potentially life-threatening behaviour of cycling without lights in the dark or cycling on pavements.

The money is on the cyclists being let off "lightly" and the urinators being "taken to the cleaners".
