Zamharrer, fast becoming a Sedgefield regular, returns to the South Durham track tomorrow with excellent chances of chalking up his third success.

After a spell of chasing, Richard Ford's versatile gelding reverts to the smaller obstacles in the Dickie Dods Memorial Handicap Hurdle and is fancied to prevail.

Bought cheaply out of Wilf Storey's stable in the autumn, Zamhareer, a once high-class staying hurdler, has proved a bargain-buy.

Successful over hurdles on this course just a week after joining Ford's Cheshire yard, the seven-year-old was unlucky not to follow-up here in a chase coming to grief at the final fence when looking all over a winner.

Zamhareer made amends, back at Sedgefield, nearly three weeks ago when, after being sent off the 7/4 favourite, he scored a decisive eight lengths from Up And Over.

Switching back to hurdles tomorrow will not matter a jot to Zamhareer, who is taken to continue his love affair with Sedgefield.

Corbleu warrants attention in the Alphameric Bet Selling Systems Handicap Chase.

The Simon Bell-trained gelding made a promising return to action on this course last month when staying on strongly to finish nine lengths second to Chummy's Saga over an inadequate two miles.

Tomorrow's two miles and five furlongs should suit Corbleu much better and, with Kenny Johnson again in the saddle, the eight-year-old should turn in a bold bid.

Also worth noting at Sedgefield are Jack Yeats (1.20) and To-Day To-Day (3.20).

Pam Sly, who saddled the first treble of her 23-year training career at Towcester on Saturday, can continue her purple patch at Huntingdon tomorrow.

The Peterborough handler saddles Coulthard in the featured Tote Handicap Hurdle and this useful gelding is napped to take the honours.

Having been pulled-up on his reappearance at Haydock after the bit on his bridle slipped through his mouth, leaving his jockey with neither steering nor brakes, Coulthard turned out at Towcester last time and notched a very easy six lengths success from Monica's Choice.

An improved horse on the Flat this year, Coulthard appeals as the sort of horse capable of making significant strikes over timer this winter. From a stable on a high, he can confirm his burgeoning talent tomorrow.

l Today's meeting at Fakenham has been abandoned.

The course was hit by snow on Saturday night, with a quarter of an inch falling by daybreak and this was followed by sub-zero temperatures last night.

And milder weather which is sweeping across the country has not reached the Norfolk track in time.

Today's meeting is only the third National Hunt fixture of the season to be abandoned - and the first due to cold weather.
