DURING a half-century writing and lecturing on music, my husband, the late Ernest Bradbury, also wrote numerous programme notes for concerts, including those which formed part of the York Festival from the 1950s-1980s.
I am in the process of collating his writings for a Special Collection to be held at the Brotherton Library in the University of Leeds, which will be available, on application, to researchers and students worldwide.
Because there are gaps in the material I have so far assembled, I wonder if any Evening Press readers still possesses any concert programmes, from whatever source, bearing his name which they would be prepared to send me for this archive? If you can help with this material, but do not wish to part with your originals, perhaps you could photo copy them for me?
