A fundraising event in the village hall at Sheriff Hutton on October 6 raised more than £1,000 for York & District Against Motor Neurone Disease.
Around 130 people attended a bingo session organised by Mrs Coulton, who regularly raises money for charity.
All the prizes were donated by friends, neighbours and local businesses. The management committee thanks everyone who supported the event. The money raised will help local patients suffering from this dreadful disease.
