An annual report produced for the North Yorkshire Training and Enterprise Council by York-based design company Jazz Marina has scooped a top award.
It received the accolade of best report for a non-profit making or publicly owned organisation at the 1998 Insider Yorkshire Annual Reports Awards sponsored by newly-merged accountancy and management services firm Pricewaterhouse-Coopers.
The judges' citation stated: "The entries in this category provided a lively and quirky approach to their reports, balancing interesting design with meeting statutory financial requirements. But Jazz Marina's stood out because of its clarity, its commitment to dealing with critical issues, its openness and the execution of its design brief."
Mike Armstrong, managing director of Jazz Marina, said: "We pride ourselves on being an innovative and creative company that really listens to our clients and provides them with what they want - good designs that match the brief."
