Scarborough visit Rochdale tonight in a rearranged league fixture just three days after fighting out a battling 1-1 draw in the FA Cup first round (kick-off 7.45pm).

Boro boss Mick Wadsworth will be buoyed by his team's performance on Saturday in an eventful cup clash at the McCain Stadium despite Scarborough letting a 1-0 lead slip.

He is likely to name the same squad for the trip to Spotland in a division three match postponed from last month.

But Wadsworth maybe forced to tinker with his team as striker Liam Robinson has a late fitness test on a groin injury.

If Robinson misses out, teenage centre back Michael McNaughton could come into a back five - Wadsworth's favoured formation on away days - leaving player coach Jamie Hoyland to continue in centre midfield.

The suffering Seasiders, currently one place off the bottom of the Football League and without a win in their last nine games, are in desperate need of three points.

And with current chairman Anton Johnson and former owners the Russell family locked in a wrangle over the ownership of the club, there are plenty of off-field problems for the club too.

It has emerged Scarborough are under a transfer embargo until a £40,000 loan from the Professional Footballers' Association, borrowed to meet players' wages, has been repaid.

The team are scheduled to return to Spotland next Tuesday for the cup replay.

Non-league Emley or division three table toppers Rotherham await the victors.

Scarborough from: Elliott, Kay, Atkinson, Worrall, Lydiate, Marinkov, Bullimore, Hoyland, Brodie, Williams, Robinson, Campbell, Russell, Jackson, McNaughton Naisbett.
