Organ Recital can hit a high note at tomorrow's annual charity meeting at Wetherby, which is in aid of the International Spinal Research Trust.

Trained by Owen Brennan, and the mount of his son Martin, Organ Recital bids for the Peter Beaumont Owners Handicap Chase, a race the same family partnership won 12 months ago with Speaker Weatherill.

The Brennans have fond memories of Wetherby, having also captured the featured Charlie Hall Chase last month with Strath Royal, also the winner of the Rowland Meyrick Chase on the same course last Christmas.

Organ Recital has already put his name on the Wetherby scoresheet, having scored here last term, and the gelding's recent appearance on the track gave notice that another winning opportunity was imminent.

He finished third to The Last Fling, but that tells only half the story as he was virtually put out of the race at the fifth-last fence when an almighty blunder cost him any chance he might have had of winning.

A decent horse at his best, Organ Recital can call the tune tomorrow.

Cumbrian Challenge, a standing dish on this track, gets the vote in the £10,500 Mitsubishi Mobile Phones Limited Handicap Chase, a race he won last year.

Tim Easterby's gelding has turned in two creditable efforts on his favourite course this season, most recently finishing second to the potentially smart Profluent, giving him 21lb.

Easterby, and his stable-jockey Lorcan Wyer, have already registered a whole host of Wetherby winners this season, and tomorrow promises to be another lucrative session.

Panama House, a winner on the Flat at Doncaster last month, gets the vote in the Henderson Insurance Brokers Ltd Juvenile Novices' Hurdle, while Raivue, recently bought off Ernie Weymes' Middleham stable, can give the Easterby-Wyer partnership another victory in the French Ballerina Novices' Hurdle.

Paddy's Return, a former high-class staying hurdler, suffered a costly defeat on his fencing debut at Ascot recently. He steps up in distance in tomorrow's Coolmore Stud Novices' Chase and deserves the chance to set the record straight.

Hambleton trainer Kevin Ryan makes the long journey to Lingfield with nap selection Vale Of Leven, who has excellent prospects of completing a hat-trick in the Get Your Annual Membership Now Nursery Handicap.

Successful on the turf at Redcar last month, Vale Of Leven followed-up on the sand at Southwell last week and is clearly in tip-top form. Paul Fessey takes over the mount from Adrian McCarthy, who has gone to Dubai for the winter.

Topton, also successful at Southwell last week, can lift the Ladbroke All-Weather Trophy Handicap Qualifier.

Paul Howling's gelding scored in convincing style on his latest outing, strongly suggesting that a campaign on the sand will prove richly rewarding. Jimmy Quinn again has the mount.
