For once I agree with Paul Hepworth, yes I think some provision should be made at the Earswick roundabout for cyclists and especially pedestrians.
We are told (Evening Press, November 4) that an underpass would cost about £500,000 which at first glance seems a lot. But since the average motorist pays £1,154 in tax every year (figures from The Daily Telegraph) the revenue from a mere 433 vehicles would pay for this underpass.
If it is built I hope Paul Hepworth and his cycling friends will be duly grateful.
