Postie Jim Blair has become York's own version of the Diet Coke man.
For office workers at Clifton Linen Services, visits by the blue-eyed 20-year-old became the highlight of the day when he called with their post.
His status as a sex symbol came to light when his delivery route was changed and the ladies no longer had a daily chance to see their first class male.
Office administrator Maureen Lickard, 57, said: "Jim really was our Diet Coke bloke.
"He is very nice and friendly and helpful and young, with lovely blue eyes, so as a bit of fun we decided to write to Royal Mail to thank him."
Jim, of Haxby Road, who has been a postman for 18 months, had been delivering mail for a year before he changed to a new delivery route along Huntington Road.
But he made a special trip back to Clifton to pose for this photograph with Patricia Wilkinson and Maureen when he heard about their letter.
Royal Mail's York area manager, Neville Rutherford, said: "We aim to deliver an efficient service to all our customers - and it is wonderful when we hear that they are proud of their local postie."
