The Chocolate! exhibition at York Castle Museum has provided some sweet inspiration for sculptor Johnny White.
He will be concocting edible creations at the museum this week as part of a series of events all linked to chocolate throughout the summer.
"Ideas include sculpting something useful - like a chocolate fireguard or a teapot," said Johnny. "Or, I may create a spectacular Smartie work of art. Whatever it is that inspires me from the chocolate exhibition, it's going to be great fun and I'll be encouraging visitors to get involved - I'm sure they will be keen given the materials."
The mysterious history of chocolate will be revealed through the exhibition, which will also look at social attitudes, designs and developments. The Chocoholic Challenge will be testing tastebuds on August 15 and 16, and the Mouthwatering Melodrama, on August 22 and 23, will tell the story of the heroes and villains of York's chocolate history.
