Eccentric artist Johnny White will be making art lovers' mouths water with an exhibition inspired by chocolate.
The sculptor's imagination will be set free in York Castle Museum's display of one of the city's most famous exports.
Eat My Art will put Mr White in the centre of the museum and let his surroundings inspire his work.
He said: "Ideas include sculpting something useful like a chocolate fireguard or teapot, or I may create a spectacular Smartie work of art.
"Whatever it is that inspires me from the chocolate exhibition, it's going to be great fun and I'll be encouraging visitors to get involved."
The Chocolate! exhibition is aimed at exploring the history of chocolate, and its place in York. It looks at the social attitudes that surround the sweet, along with its design styles and developments in advertising, packaging and marketing.
Other attractions devised as part of the exhibition include the Chocaholic Challenge, aimed at testing visitors' taste buds, on August 15 and 16, and the Mouthwatering Melodrama on August 22 and 23, in which the heroes, villains and history of York's chocolate past are brought to life.
Mr White will be at work in the museum between August 3 and 9.
