Langton trainer Nigel Tinkler deserts his local Thirsk course tomorrow in search of richer pickings at Goodwood, and has an excellent chance of hitting the jackpot with bargain buy Henry Hall.

A 6,000 guineas yearling purchase, Henry Hall, already three-times a winner this season, bids for the Group 3 £40,000 Jockey Club of Kenya Molecomb Stakes with John Reid in the saddle.

Henry Hall has gone from strength to strength since getting off the mark in a modest claimer at Thirsk in May. Although beaten twice at Ayr, he ran well both times before a change of tactics at Beverley saw him run out a decisive winner.

The same tactics - waiting behind the leaders and being produced late - were successful at Doncaster last time when Henry Hall defied top weight against three previous winners.

John Reid, on board Nap selection Henry Hall at Doncaster, again takes the mount on this smart juvenile tomorrow.

Tim Easterby also has good prospects of getting on the Goodwood scoresheet with Marton Moss in the Seeboard Handicap.

This high class three-year-old failed to find a clear run in time at Haydock on his latest outing when a creditable runner-up to Flak Jacket over an inadequate six furlongs on fast ground.

Tomorrow's seven furlongs and easier ground will suit him much better, and he will receive every assistance from Kieren Fallon.

The smart Greek Palace is capable of defying top weight in the Theo Fennell Glorious Rates Handicap, while dual-winner Odette has strong hat-trick claims in the Singleton Handicap.

At Thirsk, Cartmel Park should not be overlooked in the Grosvenor Casino Scarborough Nursery.

Jack Berry's speed two-year-old, a winner at Musselburgh, has finished second in all his other four starts this season, most recently at Doncaster where he chased home Henry Hall.

He goes tomorrow more than an hour before Nap selection Henry Hall puts his reputation on the line at Goodwood, and is expected to advertise the claims of Nigel Tinkler's northern raider by returning to the winning groove.

Benzoe, the pride and joy of Lynda Ramsden-trained sprinter is not one to overlook in the Grosvenor Casino Newcastle Handicap.

Jimmy Fortune has the mount on this popular course specialist.

Ruby Affair could be another winner for the in-form James Fanshawe in the Grosvenor Casino Leeds Maiden Stakes.

Unraced last year, Ruby Affair made a promising start to her career when chasing home Prevalence at Kempton in the middle of May.

A reproduction of that form tomorrow would probably be good enough to see her clinching the major honours.
