Fat cat Zac is one pampered plump puss.
The 12-year-old much-loved moggy tips the scales at a hefty 34lbs.
And he certainly has an appetite for the good life, according to owners Neville and Ann King.
He's so hefty that Neville once broke an ankle trying to carry him downstairs!
Neville, 65, a retired lecturer, said Zac doesn't have a cat basket but whiles away the hours on his own sun lounger, complete with electric blanket.
"He lives for minced lamb and shrimps," said Neville, of Dringthorpe Road, York. "He likes ice cream and butter but we try not to let him have any.
"It's not that he eats a lot, but what he does eat is very high calorie. He won't touch low calorie food but neither will I, so why should he?"
Neville said he broke his ankle at Christmas after he fell trying to carry Zac down the stairs.
"It was a mixture of clumsiness and his weight, but I ended up in hospital," Neville recalled.
But Zac still has to pile on a few extra pounds before claiming the crown of the world's fattest cat.
Male tabby Himmy, from Queensland, Australia, weighed in at 44lb 15oz at the time of his death in 1986, according to the Guinness Book of Records.
