Brodessa, still going strong at the age of 12, can show his junior rivals a clean pair of heels at Catterick tomorrow.
Mary Reveley's evergreen veteran lines up for the St Anne's Claiming Stakes and, in the hands of regular jockey Tony Culhane, is fancied to take all the beating.
Brodessa finished a respectable second three times on the trot before gaining a deserved win at Musselburgh last week when he notched a determined victory.
Clearly in good heart, and not yet ready to be pensioned off, Brodessa can double his score tomorrow.
Dean McKeown can capture the Beckside Handicap on Younico, who was taken out of a tempting engagement at Beverley today to return to the course where he opened his winning account a fortnight ago.
That victory was achieved in decisive style, by three and a half lengths from Chocolate Box, but Younico slightly blotted his copybook by swishing his tail and wandering badly throughout the final furlong.
He does not look a horse to trust implicitly, but he clearly has ability and, in this modest contest, Younico will surely make a bold bid to follow-up.
The speedy Afaan will relish Catterick's fast five furlongs course and Bob Marvin's five-year-old is napped to defy top weight in the Low Green Handicap.
Palacegate Touch, despite being described by his trainer Jack Berry as "a real old monkey these days", continues to pay his way.
The grey sprinter chalked up his 23rd career win at Hamilton last Friday night, and the Cowstand Bridge Handicap offers him another opportunity to shine. Kevin Darley again has the mount.
Cruinn A Bhord will start at cramped odds in the Pallett Hill Median Auction Maiden Fillies' Stakes.
Alec Stewart's three-year-old, who has raced only twice in her life, gave notice that she was capable of winning a race of this nature at Yarmouth last month when finishing a three-quarter length runner-up to Kissogramn over a mile.
This drop back in distance will not inconvenience her.
Yorkshire racegoers have a double-header tomorrow, with Catterick's afternoon fixture being followed by Doncaster in the evening.
Emily's Luck Charm should not be overlooked in The Gresley Conditions Stakes. Sir Michael Stoute's juvenile, narrowly beaten at Newmarket on his debut, turned in a solid performance to finish sixth in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and has less on his plate here.
Vanadium Ore can follow suit by chalking up his fourth straight win in the Sasha Lyons Memorial Trophy Handicap.
Successes at Chester, Ayr and Newcastle have proved Vanadium Ore to be in the pink of condition this summer, and Willie McKeown's gelding has good prospects of extending his sequence here in the hands of jockey Jason Weaver.
