Greek Palace, who has 8lb in hand on official figures, can hit the jackpot at Sandown tomorrow by capturing the £90,000 Hong Kong Jockey Club Trophy.

Sir Michael Stoute's colt is clearly a high-class performer, as he proved at Royal Ascot last month when winning the Bessborough Handicap by one and a quarter lengths from Sabadilla with the remainder of that useful field six lengths and much more behind.

The handicapper raised Greek Palace 12lb in the ratings as a result of that performance, but the Newmarket colt has only a 4lb penalty to carry tomorrow, making him 8lb better off than he will be in future handicaps.

The competition is fierce, with the likes of Hunters Of Brora, Shadoof and Shaska in opposition, but Greek Palace with Walter Swinburn in the saddle, is expected to hold all the aces.

Atlantic Destiny can land the Sino Group Dragon Trophy for Preston trainer Eric Alston.

Kieren Fallon's mount ran a fine race in the red-hot Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, finishing fourth to Bint Allayl beaten just over six lengths. If she can reproduce that form tomorrow, she should clinch winning honours.

Mubrik should run a big race in the Sing Tao Trophy Handicap.

John Gosden's handsome colt was not hard pressed to open his winning account in maiden company at Thirsk.

Charles Booth, who trains at Foston, between York and Malton, has his horses in tremendous form. And while his Saphire should give Damalis plenty to think about earlier in the afternoon, stable-mate D'Marti looks capable of lifting the concluding Year Of Tiger Trophy Handicap.

At Beverley's evening meeting, McGillicuddy Reeks should not be overlooked in the featured £7,000 William Jackson's Handicap. Don Enrico Incisa's game winner, a prolific winner last season, has been in good form this term.

Chlo-Jo will be a tough nut to crack in the Racing Pages Fillies Handicap. From the in-form Mel Brittain stable, Chlo Jo, a Pontefract winner two outings ago, ran below par on heavy ground at Ripon last time, but is well worth another chance on tomorrow's sounder surface.

Golden Thunderbolt, winner of his last two races, the latest at Beverley, returns to the course for the Shelphen Resource Handicap and is fancied to take all the beating, despite a 6lb penalty.
