Football fans hungry for a flavour of the World Cup need look no further than a York shop.
For a city cake outlet has made TV sports presenter Des Lynam - always the 'housewives' favourite' - good enough to eat.
Cake decorator Anthony Springall has made an edible replica of the silver-haired charmer as part of a World Cup window display at the family shop, Imaginative Icing, in Lendal.
Also on display is a cake of the Fantasy Football Trio - Frank Skinner, David Baddiel and Statto - on their famous TV couch.
And forget Three Lions, its three tiers at Imaginative Icing, where creators have built a giant triple-tier cake with a replica of the World Cup on top and mini footballers representing the nations taking part in the competition.
Owner Janice Springall, a football fan, says its all in the name of the game of good fun.
"We always try to have an eye-catching window and if there's something topical, it's nice to make something of it."
But why Des, rather than, say England striker supremo Shearer?
"Because footballers come and go but he's always there," says Janice.
