David Chapman is enjoying a wonderful campaign, and the sprint specialist from Stillington can land yet another winner at Beverley tomorrow with Mukarrab in the Hull Business school Apprentices' Maiden Handicap.
The former Arab-owned four-year-old is the type to respond to Chapman's uncanny knack with sprinters, and the early signs have been most encouraging.
At Musselburgh earlier this month, Mukarrab finished an excellent second to Double Powar in a five furlongs handicap, being in the firing line throughout and only just being run out of it towards the line.
Tomorrow's race will take little winning and Mukarrab is napped to go one better for the in-form Chapman.
The 113th Year of Watt Memorial Handicap is the feature event, and this £7,750 could well fall to Fantail from Mark Tompkins' Newmarket stable.
A four-times winner last season, Fantail went from strength to strength and left the impression that even better things were in store.
This term started well enough, with a very creditable fourth-place to Supreme Sound on his reappearance on this course.
Fantail was, alas disappointing next time out at Haydock when he appeared to run a bit flat and could only finish eighth to Emerald Heights. Stepping up in trip tomorrow, and from a stable in form, he is worth another chance with Darren Biggs again in the saddle.
Roborant, trained in Sussex by John Dunlop and the mount of champion jockey Kieren Fallon, makes plenty of appeal in the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside Handicap.
Roborant has been seen out only twice this season and performed with credit at Goodwood on his latest start when finishing third, beaten less than three lengths by Loyal Trust. He can capture the major honours this time.
Fallon can also lift the Priory Park Audi Maiden Stakes on Foxie Lady.
Runner-up on all her three outings this season, Ed Dunlop's filly is overdue a win. Opportunity could well come knocking tomorrow.
Mark Johnston can take the opening honours with Three Green Leaves, who will surely relish the step up to an extended seven furlongs in the Polygon Humberside Maiden Auction Stakes.
Joe Fanning takes the mount on the Middleham juvenile who has been placed on her last two starts and who is favoured by the weight conditions of this contest.
Tykevor is only a shadow of his former self, but this Royal Ascot winner of yesteryear can surely beat all-comers in the Regional University Claiming Stakes.
At Lingfield, Reine Cerise looks well worth waiting for in the concluding Champagne Jacquart Fillies' Handicap.
Sean Wood's three-year-old got off the mark by a decisive four lengths at Beverley from Windsome George a fortnight ago and looks likely to follow up here.
Haydn James is well worth a second look in the Cowden Apprentices' Handicap.
A winner at Nottingham three runs ago. Peter Harris's charge has since run well in defeat.
