York Rugby League Club's crucial clash with Bramley has been afforded Sunday best billing.
The new promotional arm of the First and Second Division Association (FASDA) has installed the Huntington Stadium meeting as it's first 'match of the week'.
The latest Go FASDA bulletin is attempting to raise the profile of the Wasps versus Villagers tussle, despite third-placed Oldham taking on new Second Division leaders Lancashire Lynx in a Friday night special.
Both camps are preparing for the game with a must win mentality.
"We've played two and lost two against them now, so this is the crunch fixture as far as we're concerned," said Wasps coach Dean Robinson.
Following his side's defeat by Batley on Sunday, Bramley coach Paul Fletcher said: "To go to York and win would be a great result. We were very disappointed with ourselves after the Batley match, but with only nine games to go there is still a lot to do."
The Wasps are hoping for a crowd kick after last weekend's 44-12 defeat of Doncaster Dragons being watched by a crowd of just 554 - the lowest Huntington Stadium gate of the season.
Chief executive Phil Elliott claims that a smaller crowd was inevitable after two consecutive defeats, by Bramley and Batley, adding that "if we get 850 to 900 on Sunday, I will be pleased".
