York Rugby League Club stand-off Lee Hanlan is back in training after missing two matches with concussion.
And the Wasps play-maker could be poised for an immediate return to the side for the Huntington Stadium visit of Batley Bulldogs on Sunday.
Hanlan scored a first half try against Doncaster before receiving a blow to the head, which caused him to miss the games against Oldham and Bramley.
Coach Dean Robinson may feel the stand-off can rekindle the superb form that the Wasps showed in the five-match winning run, which came to a shuddering halt at Bramley on Friday.
Australian John Strange filled the stand-off berth during his absence.
Assistant coach John Paterson revealed the coaching staff tonight begin the task of lifting the players for the Bulldogs clash.
"It is up to us to start picking them up and get them on track for Batley on Sunday," he said.
An inexperienced Wasps Academy side put up a spirited display on their way to an 88-6 defeat by Hunslet Hawks at South Leeds Stadium last night.
Hunslet, fielding a number of players with 'A' team experience, forged into a 78-0 lead before forward Lee Paterson put the Wasps on the board with a try under the posts. Ryan Calam converted.
Dan Briggs was adjudged man-of-the-match for the Wasps, who were without captain Carl Paterson and several other leading players.
