DETECTIVES investigating the mystery disappearance of North Yorkshire mother-of-two Marsha Wray have been granted extra time to continue questioning a man they arrested.
Officers also confirmed they have been digging up parts of the garden at the Harrogate home shared by Mrs Wray and her husband Colin, 49. A man in his late 40s, whom police have not named, has been held at Harrogate police station since his arrest on Thursday.
Detectives now have until this evening to either release him or charge him.
PC Peter Winship said officers had used a radar device to detect objects buried in the garden of the Wrays' house in Forest Lane, but had only found pipes when they began digging.
Forensic scientists took away samples of soil for analysis.
Mrs Wray, a 38-year-old nurse, vanished from home in January last year. She was last seen dropping off her two young children at Hookstone County Primary School nearby.
