A schools' orienteering competition for competitors aged 13 and under and 11 and under will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at Duncombe Park, Helmsley, starting at 4pm.
The cost is £1.50 per pupil, including a 1:10000 map.
Teams of six are required, to run in pairs, with the overall score to count. There is no limit to the number of teams per school.
The competition is a Score Event for those aged 13 and under and 11 and under.
The winning team will receive a pewter goblet to keep for a year.
The course is within 450 acres of rolling parkland, half of which is a National Nature Reserve managed with English Nature.
Spectators from schools, including families, can watch free.

A dozen pupils from Queen Margaret's School in Escrick Park will be vying for North Yorkshire rule next month.
The 12 are representing York and District Schools in the North Yorkshire Championships at the Huntington Stadium on Saturday, June 13.
The Queen Margaret's' pack are: junior girls: 100metres Martha Alexander; 200m Lizzie Lockett; 800m Rowena Macrae, Camilla Hook; 1,500m Sarah Hartley; long jump Natalie Cooper; shot Charlotte Canby; discus Amy Somers.
Intermediate girls: 200m Camilla Graham-Enock; 800m Henrietta Macrae, Cara Appleyard; javelin Frances Bell.
The Schools' Athletics Championships start at noon. Transport to the stadium is the responsibility of individual athletes and they should report to team managers in the Main Stand by 11.30am.
Anyone with transport problems should consult with their school's PE department.
Athletes must take with them eight safety pins, a packed lunch, warm clothing, waterproofs and a pair of white shorts if possible.
At the end of the meeting or immediately after an event the district athletics vest must be returned to the team manager.
The stadium track is synthetic so athletes may not use spikes which are longer than 6mm.
The slip at the bottom of the selection letters must be filled in and returned no later than Friday, June 5, to Wayne Isherwood, 19 Flaxman Croft, Copmanthorpe, York YO23 3TU.
Schools involved in the City Championships should note that first round matches are to be completed by Friday, June 5, and the semi-finals by Friday, June 12.
Results of the semi-finals should be sent to Wayne Isherwood at Sherburn High School, as soon after the completion as possible.
The City Finals will be held at Huntington Stadium on Thursday, June 25.
Schools now have the following athletics items: Year 9 + 10 entry forms for York and District Schools' Individual Championships semi-finals; entry forms for Year 7 + 8 hurdles events, in the case of hurdles events not being staged in the first round; and a programme of events and list of officials required from each school in order for the event to take place.
Entry forms are to be returned to Wayne Isherwood, Sherburn High School by Friday, June 5, 3.30pm.

The semi-finals are at Huntington Stadium on Monday, June 8, starting at 1.30pm. CRICKET
York and District Under 13 cricket team suffered a heavy defeat at Leeds in the first round of the Chairman's Cup.
Leeds scored 139-3 and then skittled York for 53. M Callaghan scored 17 for York and A Moroney scored 16.
York/Selby Under 15 cricket team play Doncaster in the Yorkshire Cup 40-overs game at Selby Londesborough Cricket Club on Tuesday, June 2, starting at 2pm.

The Primary Schools' six-a-side cricket tournament will be held at Burnholme Community College on Saturday, June 6, or, if wet, on Saturday, June 13. All players are should meet at the college at 9.10am for a 9.30 start.
There are eight teams playing in two groups on four:
Group 1: 1, Haxby Road; 2, Knavesmire; 3, Bishopthorpe; 4, Kingsway.
Group 2: 1, St George's; 2, Strensall; 3, Carr; 4, Park Grove.
Playing order: 1 v 2; 1 v 3; 2 v 3; 3 v 4; 2 v 4; 4 v 1.
Players should take some kit for their group, including stumps, bats and balls.
