SCI-FI buffs can beam up to the Warner Village Cinema, at Clifton Moor, this Bank Holiday for some non-stop out-of-this-world action.

The cinema is going where no other multiplex has gone before, with a special Star Trek weekend showing all eight movies.

The space-age concept offers 'Trekkies' a chance to see four shows tomorrow and four shows on Bank Holiday Monday, with a special discount ticket costing £15 for film fans who want to watch all eight.

He said if the event proves a success, the cinema will consider organising similar spectaculars in the future.
