APPLICATIONS are being invited from young cricketers who want to take part in the next courses run by the York and District branch of the Association of Cricket Coaches.
The advanced courses for young cricketers are to be held at Burnholme Community College, Bad Bargain Lane, York, over 10-week periods.
The course for 12-14-year-olds is scheduled to start on September 17, and the course for 9-12-year-olds will begin on January 7, 1999.
The cost is £25 for the 10 two-hour sessions which are run by senior coaches Colin Sanctuary and Mike Pickering.
Letters inviting applications have been sent to schools and cricket clubs throughout the area, and nominations can be sent to Mike Pickering at 38 Manor Park Road, Rawcliffe, York YO30 5UL.Each course is limited to 24 cricketers.
