INJURY free York Rugby League Club are out to overturn a four year away-day nightmare.
The Wasps head for the Belle Vue home of basement side Doncaster Dragons tomorrow bidding to win two away games in succession for the first time since 1994.
Not since they defeated London and Highfield in quick succession have York doubled up on away day returns.
Coach Dean Robinson refuses to place any store by such statistics, but added: "That shows the extent of the doldrums that the club has been in over the past few years. All those things must pale into insignificance, otherwise we shall not achieve anything."
However, the Wasps travel in confident mood on the back of a three game winning streak, victories coming against Workington, Barrow and Lancashire.
Said Robinson: "Three wins in a row is great. I would like to have the momentum of going 14 games in a row.
"We have set ourselves goals and realistically we will not know where we are until the end of June. I am not starting to shout potential champions."
Despite the Dragons languishing at the foot of the table, the coach warned against complacency. "I think the game will be very tough.
Doncaster at home over the past couple of years have played it that way. What they lack in the skill base they more than make up for in commitment and enthusiasm," he said.
"We will have to be on top form to take them. It will be no easier than Lancashire last week. I am hopeful there will be no complacency. We need to achieve in every game and Doncaster will be no pushovers."
The coach has 26 fit players to choose from tomorrow and, while Robinson declined to name his line-up, John Strange will likely come into the final 17.
"It makes an interesting problem for myself. Without jeopardising the team, I have to try and keep players ticking over in the squad. I have to look at the game plan and the opposition for certain positional changes," said the Wasps' boss. "It is a difficult choice for me but I hope I have the same problem all the way through the season."
Former York scrum-half Alex Green may have to settle for a substitute slot, having been confined to the bench since re-signing for the Dragons. But Dragons full-back Lee Senior is likely to play after receiving a 'sending off sufficient' verdict for his sending off against Barrow.
