Former pupils of Malton Grammar School are being invited to relive their classroom days and catch up with old friends at a reunion in the town.
The school, which ceased to exist in 1971, is now Malton Secondary School.
Nonetheless for ex-pupil Colin Gaden it only seems like yesterday that he was a 13-year-old gossiping with his chums.
The 67-year-old, who is organising the reunion, reminisces about his Malton Grammar School days.
"I've got some fond memories. There were only 130 pupils and everyone knew each other - it was lovely." He added that the reunions were a great opportunity to catch up with old school friends and find out the latest gossip.
"I think as you get older you become more nostalgic about the old days. Already I've had calls from people who left the school in the 1920s; they're in their eighties now, but they've got some fantastic memories," he said.
Anyone who would like to attend the reunion on Tuesday, April 28, at the Green Man Hotel, Malton, are invited to contact Mr Gaden on 01937 583221.
