Mountain bike enthusiasts who fancy tackling some of North Yorkshire's most scenic terrain are in for a treat.
Forest Enterprise, which is part of the Forestry Commission, is staging the first in a series of adventure cycling events on Sunday.
Simon Flounders and Simon Neville, formerly of Mad Mole Mountain Bikes, of Malton, will guide rough terrain addicts on a "woodland whirl" using the extensive cycle network through 8,600-acre Dalby Forest, near Pickering.
Recreation ranger Brian Walker said: "This is the third year that Simon and Simon have agreed to lead a series of more challenging rides.
"Last year enthusiasts travelled from as far afield as Leeds and Middlesbrough to take part," he added.
The tour will take about 3 hours to complete and costs £3. All cyclists must wear a protective helmet and no bikes will be available for hire on the day. Cyclists should meet at Dalby Forest Visitor Centre at 10.30am and should bringe a spare inner tube and refreshments.
