Brides getting married this summer were today looking forward to their special day with a host of new ideas and advice after the Evening Press Spring Wedding Fair.
Held in York's Grand Assembly Rooms, the fair offered visitors the chance to find out more about the latest trends in everything from cakes to bouquets with 25 stands around the main hall.
And with fashion shows featuring new fashions in bridal wear, hats and outfits for mothers of the bride and groom, the fair had something for everyone.
Event manager Mo Birley said yesterday's fair had gone very well and attracted around 500 visitors with many queuing before the doors opened.
She said: "It was a good day and very glitzy. People enjoyed the fashion shows and the exhibitors were very pleased.
"The sun was shining and we had lots of entries in our competition to win an engagement portrait."
She said planning had already begun for the Evening Press Autumn Wedding Fair and any exhibitors wanting to re-book could contact her on (01904) 653051 ext 421.
