Scarborough manager Mick Wadsworth was today poised to finally put pen to paper on a new contract ahead of the Division Three visit of Leyton Orient.
Chairman John Russell declared the document was being drawn up and the former Carlisle United boss had agreed to sign to complete the task of rebuilding the Seasiders.
Boro are hopeful that Jason Rockett's persistent knee trouble will not prevent him playing at the McCain Stadium tomorrow.
Paul Conway also faces a late fitness test on his groin injury, while Michael McElhatton (knee), Liam Robinson (Achilles) and Paul Heckingbottom (stomach bug) are all expected to make the squad.
Assistant manager Ray McHale was more than aware of the threat posed by Orient, who are currently hovering below the play-off places.
Said McHale: "It is a good game for them because if they beat us they are in a great position. We have got make sure we do not get beat. If you look at it a lot of the top teams are playing each other and you are going to get that over the coming weeks.
"If we win our four home games we will almost be in third spot but 10 points should be the play-offs. It is all about putting pressure on the other teams."
