Pocklington will be bursting at the seams this weekend as three touring parties visit Percy Road to provide a cosmopolitan and international flavour.

A party from Penn State University, Pennsylvania, were arriving tonight and stay at Percy Road until Sunday. The link with the Americans was established when Judd and Gabe Millar stayed in Nunburnholme a few years ago and played with Pocklington. The Millar brothers are now returning to England with their university side.

Also in town are Cambridge University Women, who are making their annual mini-tour to Pocklington, which began when Pock vice-president Godfrey Bloom became their sponsor.

The third tourists are Leigh RUFC IV, strengthening the link between the sides that followed the death of Jim Callan, who played for both clubs.

And Pocklington U14s play their Yorkshire Plate semi-final with Thorne on Sunday.
