As if the breathtaking view from the top of Sutton Bank wasn't enough - a striking 10-metre mural of the North York Moor landscape has been created for visitors to the area.
The mural, formally a bare wall in the Sutton Bank National Park Centre's briefing room, depicts moorland and farmland scenery, typical of the North York Moors.
Artists Helen Thomas and John Welding, both of Goathland, said: "Even though we live in the National Park we have learned loads about the wildlife of the North York Moors by checking to make sure all the details were right."
National Park education officer, Sue Whitehouse, said: "We have made the details as life-like and accurate as possible so that we can use the mural when we introduce children to the diversity of landscapes and wildlife habitats in the park before going out to explore the real thing."
