Leaders of Ryedale's tourist industry gathered at the Eden Camp modern history museum in Old Malton for a "swap shop".
Hoteliers and guest house owners from all over the district and further afield in Scarborough were among those who attended the Ryedale Attractions Literature Distribution Day yesterday.
They were able to collect leaflets and other publicity material about museums, stately homes and other tourist hotspots.
Jo Hill, tourism and economic development officer for Ryedale District Council, said: "The distribution day provided an opportunity for an information swap shop.
"The aim of the day was to spread the word about the number and variety of quality and exciting attractions the district has to offer and to encourage visitors to stay within the area a bit longer."
Attractions represented at the event included Malton Museum, Beck Isle Museum, Ryedale Folk Museum, Eden Camp, Eden Farm, Castle Howard, Duncombe Park, Pickering Trout Lake and Moorland Trout Farm, North Riding Forest Park, North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Rievaulx Terrace and Temples, Cropton Brewery, Flamingoland Theme Park and Zoo and Nunnington Hall.
