HARMONY is again top of the pops at York Rugby League Club after the banishing of the blues.

The board have banned the playing of the song 'There May Be Trouble Ahead' at matches at the Huntington Stadium.

Irked fans were getting no satisfaction from the song, which struck a discordant note with the home on the range faithful when it was played at the Challenge Cup tussle between York and amateur hour side Norland.

So in a power to the people move the club's board decided to build a bridge over troubled water. The offending tune has been sin-binned.

Crooned Wasps' chairman Trevor Cox: "There was no malice intended, but in view of the strength of feeling among some of our older supporters we have instructed our public relations people not to play it.

"So there will be no more trouble ahead."
