Osbaldwick Under-12s lost their unbeaten Mitchell League division two record when they were beaten 3-2 by Corinthians in a thrilling game.

Osbaldwick took the lead through Adam Hart, but Corinthians drew level when Paul Lister freed Adam Howard down the left and his centre was slotted home by Lister.

And it was Lister who controlled Tom Downey's deep cross and released player-of-the-match Dave Bullock to fire in from 20 yards with his left foot.

Osbaldwick piled on the pressure as they chased an equaliser but goalkeeper Alex Buteux made two excellent saves and Joe Woods and Paul Marshall did well in defence.

Lister and Tim Marshall both went close for Corinthinas, who wrapped up victory with a second goal by Howard. Osbaldwick ensured a tight finish with a late goal from Lewis Musgrave.

Stamford Bridge are now three points behind Osbaldwick after beating Barlby Raiders 5-2 - ample revenge for their cup exit against the same side.

Oliver Newby, James McNeil and Chris Plowman put Bridge 3-0 up at half-time and although raiders came more into the game, Newby rattled in two more to complete his hat-trick in an outstanding team performances.

York RI won 3-0 at Hamilton Panthers' 'B' - all the goals coming in the second half. Lee Appleton netted the opener, then his miskick fell kindly for Leigh Dutton to make it 2-0. Tom Dawson then put the ball over the Panthers' defence for Darren Sellars to complete the scoring.

Ross Moynihan's curling shot from the edge of the area gave improving Rawcliffe 'B' a 1-0 win over New Earswick. Rawcliffe have lost only one game at the Recreation ground this season.

In the first division, Hamilton Panthers 'A' won 4-2 at Nestle Rowntree, the first goal coming after 25 minutes from James Bradley.Rowntrees, who defended well in the first half, levelled through Lee McQuade, Lee Grant made it 2-1 to Panthers, but McQuade netted a second equaliser.

Further goals by Bradley and Grant secured victory for Panthers.

Poppleton extended their three-month unbeaten run with a 5-2 win at Brooklyn where James Barrett (3) and David Pickles were among the goals. Poppleton were able to gain control of the midfield thanks to strong performances by Richard Outhwaite, Leon Sacks and David Pickles.

Two goals by Luke Roberts sealed Rawcliffe 'A's 3-0 win at Huntington.

Mark Rice fired Rawcliffe ahead, but as Huntington pressed for an equaliser, Roberts netted on the counter-attack and 10 minutes from time Robert McKenzie made a fine save in the Rawcliffe goal and released the ball to Roberts, who outstripped the defence to score.
