Extinction has finally arrived for the Yorkshire Museum's highly-successful Carnosaurs exhibition.

And even the mighty Tyrannosaurus was being unceremoniously muzzled as technicians dismantled the long-running show of animatronic dinosaurs, which has finally come to an end at the museum, in York.

Animatronic technicians Rob Lewenstein and Martin Fussell helped to dismantle the giant exhibits at the end of an era for "Jurassic York".

However, the museum will not be devoid of wildlife for long, as a new exhibition, entitled Animal Magic, opens on April 1.

This will feature models and sculptures of all kinds of animals, plus the chance for children to create their own creatures through computer design.
