THERE was no change at the top where both Watford and Bristol City drew.
Watford's point at Bootham Crescent maintained their four-point lead over Bristol City, who were held to a goalless draw at lowly Luton Town.
The Robins are next at York tomorrow night when they will be seeking to improve a record of just four points from their last six League outings.
Third-placed Northampton also shared the spoils in a blank outing at Millwall, and that allowed a pack of clubs to narrow the gap in pursuit of the play-off places.
Two second-half goals gave Fulham the win at home to Wigan, while Gillingham's Steve Butler was the match-clincher over Carlisle.
In the battle between fifth and eight Grimsby came from a goal behind to see off visiting Bournemouth 2-1. The Mariners leapt above Oldham, soundly beaten 3-1 at Bristol Rovers, into fourth spot.
There was an enterprising return to form for Chesterfield. They conquered Wrexham 3-1 to relegate the Minstermen into the bottom half of the table.
Down at the very foot Southend United beat Blackpool, only the eighth win of the season for the Shrimpers. It put them on the same points tally as Carlisle, but the Roots Hall club remain anchored to the bottom by virtue of less goals scored.
Plymouth's survival hopes were boosted by a 1-0 win at Walsall, captain Mick Heathcote the marksman. The Pilgrims shot two places up out of the relegation zone, Luton Town now back in the mire.
