STRUGGLING York Rugby Union Club's first team head to Bridlington tomorrow looking for some Yorkshire Cup respite.
The selectors at Clifton Park have named an 18-man squad for their delayed first round game at Bridlington.
After failing to raise a side for the North Division Two game against Blaydon last week, York will be bidding to salvage some pride, as well as a place in the second round.
York will be without two key players, lock Dave Spanton (ankle) and stand-off Andy Brown (groin strain).
Vice captain Pete Curtis, normally a No 8, moves into the second row for Spanton, while Brown's place goes to Gary Cassidy, who will partner scrum half Nigel Durham.
Making up the back row will be Paul Macer, Jeremy Clutton and Lee Jones, while Sean Bass awaits the outcome of a test on his groin before determining whether he can play at centre.
Although York are in a poor run, Bridlington are also labouring and lie second to bottom of the league above York.
Harrogate, without a win in three games, have made several changes for the trip to mid-table Nottingham in Jewson National League Division One.
Alistair Ramus makes his debut in the back row following his signing from West Hartlepool and is joined by fit-again Mike Worden at open side, again coming back from injury.
Ian Hassall returns from injury at full back after a run out in the second team. Stuart Dixon moves to centre in place of Dominic Magee.
Kerry Morley returns from injury on the wing. Neil James comes in for Dan Clappison after coming on as replacement in the defeat against Reading last week.
In the reverse fixture at Claro Road in September Harrogate lost 16-12.
Most clubs in the York area have fixed up club matches for tomorrow and one of the most enticing is Selby's visit to Goole.
Selby have promoted Andrew Sellars to prop, Matt Crowther has recovered from a hand injury to resume duty at hooker and Tom Burton comes into the second row. Ian Copperwheat, Paul Sykes and Tom Burton are the men to step down.
Selby club captain Duncan Phillips rests a back injury, so Jim Clancey deputises, while in the backs, Andy Bennett replaces Steve Lowery at centre.
Goole also make changes, mostly up front where props Dave Chappell and Martin Crawford come in for former Selby player John Kaye and Pete Taylor.
In the back row, Tony Donoghue and Shaun Lill are rested and Matthew Harker and No 8 Phil Jackson brought into the side. Winger Brian Cook is replaced by Richard Driffill.
Malton and Norton entertain Scarborough, whose form has slumped since being knocked out of the quarter finals of the NPI Junior Cup.
Steve Riddolls retains his loose head prop slot for Malton, who bring in Dave Cooke in the back row for Dave Knaggs.
Steve Fawcett takes over the York RI captaincy from the unavailable Jon Paul Wong for the visit to New Lane of Baildon. Forward Manu Fotu has recovered from his Achilles tendon trouble, but is rested for another week.
Pocklington have cancelled their club game at Ilkley and will have a training session instead, while injuries and illness have forced Ripon to pull out of their trip to Wheatley Hills.
Nestle Rowntree travel to Castleford 3rd XV with wingers Ollie Turner and Matt Forman moving into the centres, so Ashley Walters and Paul Tuxford come in on the wings.
Wetherby, another side hit by illness and injury, entertain Harrogate's development side with James Brooke, who scored a hat-trick for the second team against Stocksbridge, getting a chance at senior level.
