LA DOYENNE, trained at Foston by Charles Booth, can tomorrow make her second successful assault on Lingfield within a fortnight.
The North Yorkshire filly contests the Great Expectations Handicap over five furlongs and is napped to repeat her course and distance triumph earlier this month.
Previously successful on the sand at Southwell, La Doyenne added to her all-weather tally with a spirited neck win over Rise 'n Shine at Lingfield, running on strongly in the closing stages after being brought over to race on the stands side of the track.
Rise 'n Shine franked that form by going one better last week and is now burdened with a 6lb penalty, which means she is set to meet La Doyenne on 4lb worse terms than last time.
A speedy filly, clearly at home on an artificial surface, La Doyenne can make the journey from North Yorkshire well worthwhile by chalking up her second Lingfield triumph. Simon Whitworth again has the mount.
Rehaab will be hard to beat in the David Copperfield Fillies' Handicap.
Brooke Sanders' mare romped home to an easy six lengths success from Raspberry Sauce here last Saturday. Tomorrow's extra couple of furlongs should not inconvenience Rehaab and nor should a 6lb penalty.
Quiet Arch, runner-up in all his three races this year, can enjoy a change of luck in the Barnaby Rudge Claiming Stakes.
The five-year-old went down by only one and a quarter lengths to Amadour in a handicap over this course and distance last month.
He would not need to show much improvement on that effort to go one better this time under regular rider, Martin Dwyer.
At Sandown, Knight's Crest can fulfil the promise of earlier efforts by winning the Summit Conferences & Meetings Novices' Handicap Chase.
This giant-sized gelding, trained by Robin Dickin, showed his worth earlier in his career by winning in point-to-point company.
Still to open his account under Rules, he shaped well on his chasing debut to finish fourth to Master Chet at Warwick, before finishing an excellent half-length second to The Toiseach at Doncaster last month.
The Toiseach has since won a decent race at Ascot, which makes Knight's Crest look particularly well weighted here. Andrew Thornton has the mount.
Fine Harvest merits plenty of consideration in the featured Londesborough Handicap Chase.
John Spearing's veteran gelding turned in a good effort on his reappearance at Doncaster at the beginning of this month to finish third in a fair handicap won by Cumbrian Challenge.
With Richard Dunwoody significantly booked for the ride tomorrow, the hint should be taken.
