YORK film star Mark Addy, still stripping at cinemas across the county in Oscar-nominated The Full Monty, is gearing up to bare his acting talents to Hollywood.
The 33-year-old stocky star is said to have landed his first major Hollywood part, playing the best friend of Michael Keaton in the tear-jerking comedy Frost - a role expected to earn him £1m.
The former York Theatre Royal stagehand earned just £15,000 for his part as the overweight and newly-impotent Dave, in Peter Cattaneo's smash hit comedy, which has become the most successful British movie ever.
His agent, Tracey Silvester, said: "He has been offered the role but it is still in negotiation."
