Russell Barton, Charlie Bateman, Stuart Bryan and skip David Stroughair, usually a home skip, went to Scarborough and won 24-20 after seeing the opposing rink skipped by Alan Hodges score nine on the 18th end.
Doug Mitchell, Mark Harrison, Mick Corringham and skip Ian Daines opened 7-0 but led only 9-8 after ten ends against Steve Taylor, then the York four dominated the closing ends to win 22-14.
