A CHARITY golf day organised by York-based estate agents Hunters and Easingwold Golf Club raised £13,000 for Easingwold's St Monica's Hospital.
Forty teams, consisting of 160 golfers took part in the sixth annual Hunters event. Afterwards, players enjoyed a barbecue followed by an auction and raffle with prizes including two sunshine golfing holidays in Spain and Portugal donated by Viva Estates & Mackenzie Homes.
The day was also supported by many local businesses, including Robson Developments donated which both auction & raffle prizes.
Keith Hollinrake, joint chief executive of Hunters, said: "As a company we are always seeking to give something back and days such as this are the opportunity to say thank you for all the support we have received as a company over the years.
"We are already planning next year's event in addition to our annual ball in September where we will be looking to build on the money we have raised."
