Burn's wicketkeeper-batsman Glenn Hunter was not overawed by the run chase and bludgeoned 163 runs to leave his side needing to get seven for victory off the last over. However, bowler Mark Earle kept it tight and Westow successfully defended their big total.

Kelfield also started well with Andy Charlton (60) and Martin Rhodes (31) keeping up with the run rate but after they were out Chris Walker (6-42) took control and ended the Kelfield innings at 158.
In division three, Thorpe Willoughby posted 222-6 against Burton Salmon with Dave Watson top scoring with 79. However, sloppy fielding and dropped catches meant that Steve Warner (51) and Alistair Byrne (66) took Salmon home by three wickets with two balls to spare.
Wistow all rounder Lee Clayton grabbed 4-24 to end the Malton and Old Malton innings at 130-9. He then smashed 75no as Wistow won by eight wickets.
