ROBBIE Blake scored within five minutes of his Leeds United debut, putting his side on the way to a 1-0 win at Darlington.
With just over five minutes gone, the former Bradford City striker wriggled past two men to fire home against the club where he started his career.
He quickly formed a good partnership with David Healy, who also went close with an overhead kick.
Manager Kevin Blackwell gave his starting line-up 55 minutes before replacing Blake with Gylfi Einarsson and Gary Kelly with Frazer Richardson.
Later he brought on Matthew Kilgallon, Matthew Spring, Simon Walton and Danny Pugh and a good sign for Leeds was that Eirik Bakke lasted 80 minutes.
Leeds United: Bennett, Kelly, Gregan, Butler, Crainey, Wright, Bakke, Derry, Johnson, Healy, Blake.
