YORK'S rising star singer-songwriter Hayley Hutchinson wowed a 10,000 strong crowd on Knavesmire.

She performed last night before the crowds ahead of Abba tribute act the Real Abba Gold and tonight will partner Killer Queen as part of the music showcase weekend at York Racecourse.

This morning Hayley performed her debut single, Here's The Love, on Channel 4's Morning Line racing magazine and was interviewed afterwards.

Hayley's self-financed debut album, Independently Blue, has been picked up by Gut Records. The stand-out track, Here's The Love, was picked up by Terry Wogan's breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 - the maximum exposure - and has been selected as the first single.

Racecourse spokesman James Brennan said: "There was a great atmosphere and the crowd loved her. When the Abba band came on, young and old were on their feet dancing the night away."

Hayley's album is due to be released on Tuesday.
