I'M writing about the issue of longer opening hours for licensed premises in York.
On arriving at work last Thursday morning I found that some mindless moron had kicked in the window at approximately 1am.
This has happened time and time again and it is usually because of drink rather than theft.
The shop has been in its present situation since 1911 and started in York in the early 1800s. I've been employed there since 1967 and find mindless damage is happening more often than in my early days there.
Most weeks we have to clear up sick or fast food that has been smeared over our windows.
The city licensing committee should have to clear up after these incidents then they may think twice before handing out so easily extended licences.
