J M JONES' letter (July 21) cannot pass without comment.
The Asian restaurant workers (what an assumption!) seen walking down Micklegate who "seem sometimes to have an attitude problem" have probably just finished a long, poorly-paid shift at work, or are maybe out for a night on the town like anyone else.
And what else is Micklegate for but to swagger along with an "attitude" - Asian or otherwise?
There is more offence to be found in the arrogant, confident "attitude problem" belonging to the next generation of managers and stockbrokers who daily swagger from their public schools in Bootham than can ever be found in a few young Asian kids leaving their hot kitchen behind.
Shame on you.
