A FABULOUS treat is in store for all car enthusiasts this summer.
From the sleek to the sexy, from the flash to the fantastic, more than 500 replica sports cars will be lining up at the Great Northern Kit & Car Builder Show 2005.
This mouth-watering two-day indoor and outdoor event makes its return to the County Showground, Harrogate, on Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14.
The event has become one of the biggest kit car shows. Now in its third successive year, it will also feature 50 accessory and trade stands and more than 30 manufacturers, who will be showcasing their latest models.
John Cooke, show organiser, said: "The Harrogate show is rapidly becoming one of the finest displays of kit cars in the whole of the UK and one that never fails to entertain. The show is a spectacular sight of hundreds of kit cars assembled under one roof and a great place to meet fellow kit car enthusiasts."
Visitors will have the opportunity to try out the Formula 1 Simulator, and there will be some hard-hitting entertainment from a monster truck demonstrating the art of car- crushing on both days.
With top manufacturers like AK Sportscars, 365 Sports, Veranti Motor Company, Pilgrim Cars Ltd, Quantum Sports Cars, Tiger Racing and Fisher Sports Cars attending the show, the stage is set for a motoring extravaganza.
There are several local manufacturers taking part, including AGM Sportscars from Barnsley, MAC#1 Motorsport of Sheffield, BWE Sports Cars, from Barnsley, and Harrogate-based MNR Ltd, who will be building the MNR Vortex from scratch during the show to demonstrate just how easy it really is.
With plenty of free parking and good food, the 2005 Great Northern Kit & Car Builder Show is a brilliant day out for the whole family.
The Great Northern Kit & Car Builder Show takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14, from 10am to 5pm both days. Admission prices are adults £8, children 12 years and under £2. Kit car drivers with their cars enter free.
