Welsh Emperor, at his best in the mud, can take advantage of the recent rain by winning the feature race at Chester tomorrow.

The money-spinner gelding, trained by Tom Tate at Hazelwood, near Tadcaster, has been running well this season, sandwiching a win at Haydock with excellent efforts in defeat in strong company.

Robert Winston, who knows him well, has the mount on Welsh Emperor tomorrow in the Warwick International Queensferry Stakes and is likely to adopt trailblazing tactics. Welsh Emperor will surely be difficult to catch around the sharp Roodee course, especially on the expected easy ground.

Loves Travelling, another of Winston's mounts, gets the Nap vote in the Warwick International Handicap.

Trained at Warthill, on the outskirts of York, by Noel Wilson, Loves Travelling gave notice of returning to form when fourth to Sporting Gesture on Knavesmire last Saturday after failing to get a clean run through the race.

Loves Travelling won the Cumberland Plate at Carlisle last season when trained by Luca Cumani.

At Newbury, Autumn Wealth has a good chance in the EBF Chalice Stakes. Amanda Perrett's four-year-old made a winning start to the campaign at Haydock, beating Tartouche, who won at Goodwood this week.

At Market Rasen, Norton trainer Malcolm Jefferson looks to have found another good opportunity for Dewasentah in the UK Oil And Gas For Plumbing Novices' Hurdle.

Winner of two of his last three starts, the gelding gained his latest success at Uttoxeter and looks a horse to continue following.
