A YORK-BASED construction company has won a £1.2m contract to build 11 homes in Sleights, North Yorkshire.
The deal, to build 11 detached homes on a one-acre derelict site once used by an agricultural contractor, has been won by Buttercrambe-based Russell Construction (York) Ltd.
The contract has been awarded by Graystoke Homes, York, which specialises in creating quality developments on niche sites which are too small for national house builders and too big for self-build companies.
The estate, comprising four-bedroom bungalows and executive detached houses, is expected to be completed by June 2006.
Stuart Ede, Russell Construction's managing director, said: "We are delighted to be continuing to undertake residential projects throughout North Yorkshire and the North East thanks to creating a close strategic alliance with key developers such as Graystoke Homes."
Russell Construction, founded in 2000, has 130 staff and a multi-million pound turnover.
