FORMER York City striker Paul Robinson is currently on trial with Scottish Premier Division club Aberdeen.
The 26-year-old forward, who has agreed a financial settlement with the Minstermen over the remaining year of his contract, rejected a possible move to Ross County and is now trying his luck at Pittodrie.
Tadcaster Albion cruised past a young City youth team 2-0 in a friendly last night.
Steve Ward and an own goal gave the Northern Counties East League division one side the comfortable win which puts them in pole position for a crack at NCEL premier boys Pickering Town on Saturday.
Assistant manager Neil Smallwood said: "It was a good fitness exercise. They were all young lads in the City team but we came through unscathed. Saturday will be a harder game but it's time to step things up a bit."
