INJURIES to York City players caused Billy McEwan to postpone tonight's trip to Northern Counties East League neighbours Selby Town.
Youngsters Lev Yalcin (thigh), Byron Webster (arm), Graeme Law (tonsillitis), David Stockdale (foot), Bryan Stewart (hip) and Stephen Baynes (hamstring) are all currently sidelined with trialists Emmanuel Panther and Ryan Mallon picking up knocks from Monday night's 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
Striker Andy Bishop is also being closely monitored as he continues his comeback from a knee operation.
McEwan said: "I don't like doing that to any team but we would be unable to field a strong side and it will be better to re-arrange the match to a later date."
Nathan Kamara and Robbie Haw got on the scoresheet as City juniors won 3-1 at Ampleforth.
The Ryedale Beckett League Division Two side replied with a superb lob from former Minstermen trainee David Wallinger.
The game helped raise funds towards the building of new changing facilities and a pavilion at Ampleforth.
